Do you have 24 hours to serve in Tohoku?
Please join our team this coming Saturday!
24 Hours in Tohoku
We are equipping teams of volunteers to serve in Tohoku each Saturday throughout the summer. We leave Friday night returning Saturday night for: "24 Hours in Tohoku".
Come join us if you have a heart for service and a strong desire to contribute to relief activities in a direct and meaningful way. We are open to volunteers from outside our community and to non-Christians as well.
You provide the compassion, we provide the shovels!
Standard Schedule
KBF Tohoku Relief Teams travel in vans or buses to Ishinomaki City in Miyagi Prefecture. We typically leave Friday night after 9:00 PM from the parking lot at the Christian Academy Japan in Higashi Kurume (Tokyo), arriving at Ishinomaki City in the morning.
After registering with the Ishinomaki City volunteer corps, we receive a work assignment then serve as volunteers throughout the day. In the evening we report what we have accomplished, returning to Tokyo late Saturday night.
